About This Book
You know you need to be more than what you are.
More than religious. More than busy. More than the version of yourself that looks right on the outside and feels hollow on the inside. Something is missing, and everything you have tried to fill the gap has come up short. Every heart desires peace, purpose, and rest, yet the world seeks those things everywhere except in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Need to Be More walks through the life of Jacob and shows how God takes a heel-grabber and makes him Israel. This is not merely the story of one man’s failures. It is a mirror for everyone who has ever tried to become what only God can make them. You will discover that righteousness cannot be stolen, a new identity cannot be manufactured, and no amount of effort can produce what only God can give.
At every turn, this book asks the question that matters most: have you been born again? Have you stopped trying to earn what God is offering as a gift? Have you let go of the goatskin and come to God as you really are?
